Welcome to Ffresh +
Ffresh + is a new component to Ffresh, which is aimed towards students studying media courses in further education institutions throughout Wales.
Introduced for the 2009 event, Ffresh + provided a programme of panel sessions and masterclasses with some of the industries key movers and shakers who offered the audience invaluable and unique insights into how to start a career in the media.
Special guests for 2009 included the pre-visualisation artist Dan Maslen (pic below, whose credits include the forthcoming Wolf Man, The Bourne Ultimatum and Elizabeth: The Golden Age), Iain Tweedale (Editor, New Media, BBC Cymru Wales), animators Tom Brown and Daniel Grey, welsh film director Wyndham Price, and Stephen Garrett (left) the founder of Kudos Productions who credits include Spooks, Hustle and Life on Mars.
As well as all the above there were screenings of student work from Wales and abroad, presentations by Welsh higher education institutions about the moving image courses they offer and a vibrant exhibition area.
Ffresh + will take place as part of next year’s festival on Thursday, February 11th and will once again include a jam packed programme of special guests, the best of the best of student work from around the world, presentations from top Welsh higher education institutions, and much, much more.

As part of Ffresh there will be the Ffresh + Showcase featuring the best work from sixth
forms and colleges throughout Wales. To submit work to feature as part of the Ffresh +
Showcase please contact festival coordinator James Nee.
