Owen SticklerAnimation
Owen Stickler
Owen Stickler’s fascination with art and animation began while he was still in school and he went on to do a degree in Fine Art in 1993. During his student years he was already directing pop videos and promotional films for television and in 1995 he and co-director Aron Evans landed an S4C commission to produce and direct a 20’ stop-motion film. While directing numerous award-winning short films and sequences Owen discovered digital animation and visual effects and has never looked back. He and his collaborator Aron Evans started Dinamo in 2004 where Owen has honed his talent as a director on many of the company’s projects, including the adult satirical television series CNEX, the 32-part children’s series Happy Valley and the 52-part children’s series Fun with Claude.

Sian Price
Siân Price is a freelance television producer/director. Most recently she directed the feature-length documentary Secrets of Stonehenge for Channel 4 and produced the BAFTA-Cymru winning Coal House for the BBC. A history specialist, she has made a variety of programmes for all the major networks – including Time Team (Channel 4) and Beyond Boundaries (BBC2). Siân is also a multi award-winning radio producer and co-director of Tinderbox Productions, making documentaries and features for Radio 3, Radio 4 and the World Service. Current projects include a documentary on the Vikings for Channel 4, Snowdonia Farmhouse for the BBC, and writing a non-fiction book, for publication in 2010.

Lowri ElenLowri Elen Jones
Lowri Elen Jones is currently on secondment from the Welsh Assembly Government, working as a journalist for Golwg 360 and Golwg Services. After completing a Journalism, Film & Broadcasting degree in Cardiff University, she worked at various television companies, before completing a Masters degree in Film at Warwick University. She is a keen film buff!

Helen Grace
Helen Grace was born in Cardiff, and has a background as a producer and film-maker, having made four short films and two feature films. A year ago, she set up a company called LEFT to work with other film-makers on the promotion, international sales and distribution of quality low-budget feature films – recent successes include the no-budget zombie film Colin.

John Giwa-Amu
John Giwu-Amu founded Red and Black Films with business partner Caradog James. The companies’ credits include Little White Lies, a black comedy (nominated for 6 BAFTA Cymru Awards, winning 2 and nominated at the British Independent Film Awards). John won Best Short Film at the 2008 BAFTA Cymru Awards for Owl Creek Bridge and his previous short, Barrie the Barber, won the BBC TALENT Award. In summer 2008 John was selected as an honouree of Breakthrough Brits and flown to LA by the UKFC to represent the best of UK’s Black and Asian Talent.  John is currently developing two feature length screenplays; Midas, with international producer Richard Holmes and Checkpoint, with the Film Agency of Wales.

Caradog James
Caradog James’s short films have screened in festivals all over the world including the 48th Short Film Festival Oberhausen and Clermont Ferrand.  His first feature film screenplay made the Brit List and will go into production this year starring Tom Wilkinson and Carey Mulligan.  He has been hired to adapt Douglas Coupland’s best-selling novel ‘Miss Wyoming’ and been commissioned by ‘Dan Films’ (whose feature films include Creep, Severance and Triangle) to write and direct a horror movie called ‘Blonde’. His first feature film as a director ‘Little White Lies’. It was nominated for six BAFTA Cymru awards including Best Picture, Best Director and Cinematography and won Best Actor and Best Actress.

Richard Baker

Richard Baker founded Sequence in 1995 after an extensive career with Compaq (formally Microcom). Here he was involved in the deployment of the first ISP (Internet Service Providers) in Israel and Greece as well as the market introduction of the company's first ISDN products. In May 2003, Richard was awarded Wales’ Young Business Achiever at the Western Mail Business Awards and he regularly contributes to TV, radio and the press on ‘all things web.’ Richard is responsible for the strategic direction and development of the company while providing day-to-day support to the business development & marketing communication functions. He also provides technical directorship for the hosting and infrastructure operations. When not at work, Richard can be found marauding the countryside on his mountain bike.

Roughcollie
Established as a collective in 1996 with members in Cardiff, Glasgow and London, Roughcollie became a company in 2002 and have a long and successful heritage in motion, graphic and interactive design. Their diverse portfolio includes film titles, cinema trailers, television title sequences and advertising, DVD graphics and titles, visual effects and websites. Roughcollie combine extensive 2D and 3D animation skills, post-production and compositing techniques and live action direction experience to produce dynamic and original motion design solutions. Their broadcast work includes full graphics packages for programmes featured on Channel 4, Sky sports, BBC 1, BBC 2, BBC 4, E4, MTV, ITV, Five, Discovery and S4C.

Ewan Jones Morris & Casey Raymond
Ewan Jones Morris is a filmmaker based in Cardiff. After a year of community television in Sweden, he made the documentary Brand New World, which was screened at a number of festivals across Europe. He then decided to get an education and graduated with an MA in Film from IFSW in 2007. Most recently he directed an It's My Shout production for BBC. Casey Raymond is a filmmaker, illustrator and, zine maker based in Cardiff. With close ties to the music industry, his Illustrations adorn posters, record covers, magazines and t-shirts across the world. Ewan and Casey first teamed up on the stop motion Truckers of Husk video, which was recently nominated for a UK Music Video Award. In the year since they have made another four videos with small budgets and big ideas for the likes of Cate Le Bon, Future of the Left and The Automatic.

Brian Hannant
Brian Hannant joined the Commonwealth Film Unit (later Film Australia), over ten years he has produced a number of acclaimed documentaries and two feature films for TV -- Flashpoint and Judy (part of Three to Go series, included Peter Weir’s Michael and Oliver Howes’ Toula); wrote, produced and directed documentaries for the South Australian Film Corporation and others through his own production company, Spirited Films (with partner, Jenny Day).  Brian co-wrote Mad Max 2 and was 2nd Unit Director on the film; he co-wrote and directed the feature film The Time Guardian; and spent five years as Head of Directing at AFTRS.  Brian is currently Head of Screenwriting at Sydney Film School and recently completed screenplays for two feature films which are currently in development.

Berwyn Rowlands
A film fan from an early age, Berwyn Rowlands has enjoyed a varied career in the private, public and voluntary sectors. Coming from Anglesey Berwyn has always had a positive can-do attitude. The Festivals Company is his latest endeavour and one which he is enjoying.

Brian Minchin
Brian Minchin works as a Script Editor and Producer at BBC Wales Drama. He has recently worked on the BBC One mini-series, Torchwood: Children of Earth, Belonging, and is currently working on the new series of Doctor Who.

Cath Treganna
Cath Treganna is a Welsh writer who has recently written five episodes of the UK version of Law and Order for Kudos Film and television.  She has recently written the pilot episode of Escorts, a new series for Red Planet, BBC Wales, and the first episode of No Name, an adaptation of the Wilkie Collins novel for Cliffhanger Productions,BBC. Cath also wrote two episodes for the second series of Torchwood created by Russell T Davies for BBC3, having written two episodes for the first series.  Other credits include her own original drama series The Bench, which ran for two successful series on BBC Wales before airing on the network daytime schedule, Cowbois ac Injans, Pris Y Farchnad, Stick and Twist, Belonging, Eastenders, and Casualty.
