Ffresh is proud of the innovation and excellence of students studying moving images courses within Colleges and Universities throughout Wales, the UK and abroad. The Ffresh Awards provides a unique platform to exhibit the best work being created by up-and-coming moving image talent.

Below are the 10 categories of excellence, which students can enter their work into. To submit your work to the 2010 Ffresh Awards click here.

All the shortlisted entries for the 2010 Awards will be showcased as part of next year’s programme. There will also be an award for Best International Film, Best of the Festival, and the Ffresh Audience Award. All the winners will be announced during the Ffresh Awards Show on February 12th  - the RTS Wales Centre Student Award winners will also be announced as part of the awards show.

Ffresh Award 2010 Categories

Animation
Any animated film utilising 2D, stop motion, CGI or live action techniques or a mix of some or all techniques.

Factual
Any non-fiction production, including current affairs and documentary.

Fiction Undergraduate
Any fictional production created on film, video or interactive fiction by a student(s) studying an undergraduate course. Entries must be no longer than 30 minutes in length.

Fiction Postgraduate
Any fictional production created on film, video or interactive fiction by a student(s) studying a postgraduate course. Entries must be no longer than 30 minutes in length.

Games & Interactive Media
Any examples of games designed for single or multi-platform, and websites, CD-Roms, edutainment, infotainments or interactive art are accepted.

Motion Graphics
Any promotional stings, adverts, programme or channel idents are accepted. Time limit – 60 seconds. Showreels are not accepted.

Music Media
Music videos and other music related media will be considered (i.e. band websites)

Short Shorts
Any fictional, factual or experimental production on film or video up to 3 minutes in length.

TV
Any production made specifically for TV, including factual entertainment, entertainment, comedy, news items, children’s programmes and studio programmes. Documentaries are not accepted.

Welsh Language
Any production that is in the Welsh language is accepted, including fiction, factual, animation and interactive media.
